I have a relatively simple RDS setup, but I've been struggling to get an unmanaged virtual desktop collection of Windows XP computer to work. The RD Connection Broker and the RD Visualization Host are on the Hyper-V host and the RD Web Access sits on the virtual server (all are running WS2012). I've added an unmanaged pool of with 1 Windows XP computer and every time the client get stuck at "Loading the virtual machine".
The event log has 2 errors:
Error: Element not found. Remote Desktop Connection Broker Client failed to redirect the user <user>.
Error: NULL
However if I remove the Windows XP VM and add a freshly installed Windows 7 VM it works.
I've tried everything I've found on the internet from turning the firewalls off turning off all group policy to no avail.
How do I get a Windows XP VM to work in a VDI environment, are there an examples of this?
