Guest RemoteFX version different from Server RemoteFX version

I’m getting this error on my Hyper-V host when I try to use the GPU on a Windows 8.1 VM. On the VM I can see the RemoteFX GPU but it is not able to start. Any help on how to get the protocol versions to match would be much appreciated. The Hyper-V Host is a Windows 2012 Server.

The protocol version of RemoteFX installed on the virtual machine named Win8-VM1 is different than the protocol version installed on the RemoteFX server. To resolve this issue, the RemoteFX server and the RemoteFX-enabled virtual machine must be updated to the same version. VM name: Win8-VM1, VM ID: FC5DA19C-7BA8-4FFA-952E-0A9F7A7EBEEC, VM version of RemoteFX: 3, Server version of RemoteFX: 2.
