hi,
we have a remote application portal. within the portal users access a website and enter different domain credentials to access the site.
i have on a few occasions seen the following message occur :
This computer can't connect to the remote computer.
The two computers couldn't connect in the amount of
time allotted. Try connecting again. If the problem continues, contact your network administrator or technical support.
to try and resolve i did the following:
Open IIS Manager, in the Connections pane, expand the server node and click Application Pools. Right click RDWebAccess and select Advanced Settings.
-Under General, checked “Enable 32 bit application” and set to False.
-Under Process Model, check “Idle Time-out Value” and change the value to 20.
-Select default web site, select SSL settings, ensure ignore is selected for client certificates.
-Select RDWeb site, select Authentication, ensure only Anonymous Authentication is enabled.
this failed to work and one of the user simply rebooted and it started working again. strange thing is that i could login from my pc using her credential and it worked. i am using win 8.1. i have only seen this on win 7 pc's. both times i was able to logon from my machine but not the users.
also Patch KB2592687 is not installed on the pc's
any help appreciated.
