We have a 2012R2 RDS licence server which we would like to licence our 2008R2 RDS Session Hosts from. We have pointed the session hosts to the lic server and there are no errors in the event log when the users connects. So we know that the user is not getting denied a licence, however we cannot see the licence in use on the lic server. I understand this may be as designed as the session host is not 2012R2, but there doesn't appear to be anything that states a licence has been issues. I've checked the event logs on the session host and the lic server, but there doesn't appear to be any entries.
Does anyone know if you can track the licences that are distributed to down level session hosts? event logs or similar?
