From what I can see, we can use the RDS Gateway Role, the users will use an RDP Client to connect to the RD Farm. Is it possible for users to access the RD farm by simply using the Web Access server, but have the connection encrypted using the Gateway role?
From previous posts, it was said that users can go to the web access server, and launch a preconfigured RDP client.,... This isn't really what I want to do. We are trying to make sure the client has the same interface from inside or outside. We don't want users to end up on a desktop, we want to use 100% published Apps. If we have users with restricted access to forms/apps, we don't really want them to access the servers directly, form there they could launch the Apps.
If this isn't possible, what are the advantages of using a gateway server over a standard VPN connection I.e. VPN directly to the network, then access the Web Server.
