RDS 2008r2 Published RemoteApp Launch To Desktop Application

Hi,

I've done a bit of searching but haven't seen anything specific in regards to this.  If I'm wording it incorrectly I apologize.

We're looking to host some office apps on our terminal server farm to take some processing load off of older computers.  We've pushed Outlook 2010 as a RemoteApp and then pushed this through GPO via MSI.  This has worked flawlessly and the Outlook profile is created with the help of a PRF file.

We're having issues where the terminal server is launching an unpublished Internet Explorer window when a hyperlink is clicked but preventing sites due to strict default internet settings.  Ideally we'd prefer to not manage the IE settings at the Terminal Server level, or even run IE at the terminal server level.  Is there any redirection available that will allow this request to process on the local PC rather than the remote session?

Essentially, can clicking IE from within the Outlook RemoteApp open IE locally and not on the TS?

Thank you for your time!

Josh
