RDS Roaming Profiles and Profile Redirection

Hello,

At my work we're starting the process of moving away from Terminal Services 2003 over to RDS 2008 on Windows 2008 R2 boxes.  I'm attempting to test roaming profiles and redirecting profile folders but am not having much luck and would appreciate some assistance.

So on the test user account created, I setup the profile path for their RDS profile under the "Remote Desktop Services Profile" path.  I then created a folder called Profiles2013 to hold the profile and setup the permissions (both NTFS and share) as I found in the article entitled "Security Considerations when Configuring Roaming User Profiles."

While the user profile folder gets created in the Profiles2013 folder with the name "username.v2" the Terminal Server is only creating a TEMP folder in the C:\users folder on the terminal server.

When I log out of the server there are no files/folders/settings in the roaming profile directory that was created.

I am very confused as to what I am doing wrong.

I even replicated the permissions that I know worked for our Windows 2003 roaming profiles but those did not work either. The server holding the old Windows 2003 profiles and the new RDS2008 profiles is a Windows 2003 SP2 server

Thanks!

-JLF
