I try to solve a problem 3 days without success:
I need to connect a windows multipoint server 2012 by RDP using a computer running Windows XPSP3.
On the XP SP3 machine:
- I have upgraded RDP client 7.0
- CREDSSP is enabled
- Firewall is disabled
The XP machine and the multipoint server are both integrated to the AD domain.
When trying to RDP from my WinXPSP3:
- When I use a local user of the server ex. Administrator account I can connect without any problem.
- When I try to RDP another server ( a win 2008 server), I can connect with domain accounts
- When trying use domain accounts, an error message "authentification failed...unable to reach target" appear.
When I try to RDP this Multipoint server from a Windows7 it works, also with domain accounts…
I suppose problem is caused by wrong CREDSSP configuration on windows XP, but I don’t have competence to solve it…
