Remote Desktop Connection

DNS Servers: Server 2008 Standard SP1

                      Server 2008 Standard SP2

Workstation: Windows 7 Enterprise.

Hi there,

I want to connect to one of my computers from out side of my network through remote desktop.

I opened the port 3389 in my firewall, and set up a NAT from the public IP address to my private IP address.

in my DNS servers

in Reverse Lookup Zone

I have defined a pointer(PTR) to workstaion1.mydomain.com and workstaion1.mydomain.local (Same private IP address)

in Forward Lookup Zone I have created a CNAME Alias

I do not have any problem when I try to connect to workstation1.mydomain.com internally and even from outside when I use my public IP address I can remote desktop to my computer.

the issue is when I try to connect to the workstation1.mydomain.com from outside

it gives me an error message"Remote Desktop Cannot find the computer workstation1.mydomain.com. It might mean that workstation1.mydomain.com does not belong to the specified network"

Any Idea?
