connecting from client computer (RDP) to WS 2008R2 with certificate, autorization

I've donesome research on thetopic,but I anywhere founda solution for my problem.

Is it possibleto dosuch a scenario?

The client computer(winvista,732/64bit)connects via RDP (over WAN)withWS2008 R2.
Both computersdo not belongto a Domain.
What I mean isthatthe clientcan connectto the serveronly ifon a clientis installedcertificate(generatedon WS2008 R2).
If the client computerdoes not have acertificate installed,then client computer can notconnect to the server viaRDP.
I knowthattheRDPcertificateis used toencrypt the connectionbetween the clientand the server.

Is it possible toperformsuch a connectionin this way?
