Hello,
I have an RD Gateway server (Server 2016) set up with an SSL cert issued by a public CA. All workstations on the LAN that is being accessed remotely are running Windows 10 Pro 1803. The problem I'm facing is that when I connect to any PC on the LAN externally
using RDP via the RD Gateway, the connection hangs for about 20-30secs at "initiating remote connection" before connecting. Once connected, it works perfectly fine for however long I want. The connection quality is always excellent with UDP enabled.
The event viewer on the gateway server (Terminal Services-Gateway) shows the 20sec delay between Event ID 200 (where client meets CONNECTION authorization policy) and ID 300 (where client meets RESOURCE authorization policy). Any idea as to what might be causing this? I've surfed through a bunch of forums and tried different solutions (registry edits, policy changes etc.) but to no avail.
What's bothering me more is that I have an almost identical setup at another site and I'm able to connect instantly to the authorized resources remotely via it's RD gateway server. Feel free to ask any details about the environment.
Thanks for your help!
