We have a weird display issues when starting a RDP session.
This problem arises randomly. We can not reproduce the issue.
Enviroment RDS: Windows server 2016 standard.
Clients: Windows 10 1909 + latest HP drivers and firmware installed.
When using the snipping tool inside the RDS enviroment no gray cubes are visible in the image.
When using the snipping tool outside (local) of the RDS session the cubes are visible in the image.
Things we have tried so far but did not resolve the issue:
- Video card drivers updated.
- Latest HP drivers and firmware updates.
- Replace displayport to Displayport cables from monitor to PC.
- Displayport to HDMI cable to PC replaced with Displayport to Displayport.
- Resolution adjusted from Quad HD to Full HD.
- Replace screens of PC (same problem on laptops screens).
- Cleaned the RDP Bitmap images cache during RDS session and disabled on PC (previously enabled).
- RDP Visual styles disabled during RDS session (previously enabled).
- Hardware decoding on PC now disabled (previously enabled).
- Hardware acceleration on RDS environment now disabled (previously enabled).
- AVC 444 graphics mode on RDS environment now disabled (previously enabled).
