Inability to change DPI and/or Font Size in Server 2008 R2 remote desktop has now become a legal issue for us...

Hope this reaches someone at MS (it's really hard to find a decent way of contacting someone who understands the gravitas of a given situation).

Tom Walker here from ITLX Pty. Ltd. (Microsoft Partner). I've been posting on the "Answered" Technet post below:

http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/winserverTS/thread/11fe8098-a772-441a-b2ae-fc87865d9376?prof=required

... for the past couple of weeks - unfortunately, there is a fault in Server 2008 R2 which doesn't apply the DPI setting to Remote Desktop sessions despite any attempted workaround.

Up until now, this has been an annoyance more than anything, but today I received word from our client's Union representative citing an official legal complaint on OH&S grounds due to the small print size on high resolution (1280 x 1024 and above) monitors causing headaches and eye-strain. Now, this is something that has worked on all previous versions of Windows Server and I find it incredulous that this was overlooked in R2 (especially considering Windows 7/R2s claim to be "more accessible than ever").

Can we please be advised as to the status of any fix for this, because at this stage, we may be facing legal repercussions.

Kind regards,

Tom Walker
